Thermes
For decades, scientists have argued about whether it could be possible to see local weather on your Apple Watch. It seemed improbable. It seemed impossible.
But now the future is here: It’s Thermes, weather on your wrist! (Or ankle, or in a cute faux iPod enclosure, or wherever you wear your Apple Watch.)
Oh, and it’s free. Because charging money for it seems like a lot of work.
Thermes is just weather, simple and beautiful. It does every weather feature in the world, but what it does have has been thoughtfully considered and polished to make it fast, fluid, and fun to use.
If you are looking for an app with every weather feature you could ever imagine, consider the excellent CARROT Weather.
What can it do?
Easy glance weather screen
A lot of weather apps seem to have really hard-to-understand, confusing main screens. I designed Thermes to have a simple and intuitive layout that still has all the data you need to inform you about the world around you. Hopefully you’ll never need to leave your house!
Powerful hourly forecast view
The hourly forecast view is the heart of Thermes. In a compact, beautiful layout, it shows all of the key data about the next 24 hours in a single scrollable view: temperature, rain and snow predictions, high winds and gusts, and sunrise/sunset.
Details view that’s smarter than it needs to be
I put a lot of work into this Details screen. You can access it with a single tap from anywhere on the main screen. For every data point, I didn’t just want to tell you the number, but what the number means. I don’t know what a dewpoint of 37 represents, and I couldn’t tell you whether a certain barometric pressure means that a storm is coming or to bring out the sunscreen. But Thermes can tell you!
Hourly forecast is available
Like seeing the upcoming weather for the next 24 hours? You will love this feature so much.
